We are looking at an
AMD 64 socket 939
3500 system on a DFI "LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D"
NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra
Chipset with 2gb pc 3200 memory, two matching
Seagate 120Gb SATA HDDs in
raid 0 configuration, a DVD burner and two
EVGA
NVIDIA 6800 GT 256mb,
256bit PCIe graphics cards. To top the cake on this system, he
didn't chince on the case. He went for a 480w Thermaltake true
power Power supply unit with a
Thermaltake
Shark *black* case.

UV case review |
On today's plate is the
UV blue "acrylic" case from Logisys Computers
Pretty straight forward on this, its your typical acrylic case, treated
with UV reactive blue dies. The case comes pre-assembled so
there should be very minimal steps...........................

KiSA-labs proudly welcomes a new staff writer,
R.Letson aka
Digital.
The man has more networking and pc troubleshooting skills in his little
finger than 99% of the people that I know. Watch for more reviews
to be coming out of KiSA-Labs. The first
review is for an Enlight Sata array Hot swap module.

Happy New Year!! |

Welcome one and
all to 2005!! I was pretty slow with the mods in 2004, but thats
what happens when you start a business, it takes over everything and all
of your time! I have several half finished mod projects on the
bench that will need some much deserved attention. I will be
working on those as time provides. I will also be doing some
product reviews in conjunction with a guest author or two so stay tuned.
The
DJ-PC has been posted and you are welcome to

If you didn't
notice, KiSA-labs has undergone a massive makeover. No more
pretend web hosting via Tripod. I am a partner in an ISP
company now and as such, I have access to lots and lots of server
space/bandwidth. Perks are nice!
Enjoy the new look and
feel of the site and please feel free to let me know what you think of
this mod. |

I actually built this one a
few days before the
Sandbox
but alas it sits on my desk at work and therefore I wasn't able to rip
some pics until today to make this live on the website.
I had to make this one in a day for
our grand opening at my store. We wanted something flashy and
unique for the area. Now, if you are here reading this article, we
both know that this is nothing truly out of the ordinary or ground
breaking but where I'm located, this is a hot new thing. Yeah,
believe it or not, when you say "liquid cooled" you get looked at
like you have four heads here.
I will be improving upon this when I
get a chance but it is probably not going to be for quite some time as I
am currently working on "Fire and Ice" for my QuakeCon entry.
So, without further adieu I present
"the KiSA_110"
Black Box. |

Impromptu "SandBox" Mod
|
|
I had to free my mind this
weekend after a long, long week of very mind intensive trouble shooting
for work. To do this I secluded myself in the mod lab with an old
server case, my trusty dremel®,
angle grinder, drill, several cans of spray paint and various other
modding tools :) I am a happy camper now. My mind is free
and my customer is going to die over his surprise new case.
Enjoy the
Sandbox. |
